Klondike
Family: Klondike Family
The most widely known standard Solitaire. It's the default game on this site.
Klondike is the standard game most people picture when they hear "Solitaire." A single 52-card deck is dealt across 7 tableau columns, with the remaining cards set aside as the stock. Only the top card of each column is face-up.
In the tableau you stack cards in descending order with alternating colors (for example, a black 6 on a red 7), and only a King may go on an empty column. The goal is to fill the four foundations by suit from Ace to King.
You draw from the stock to the waste to bring out new cards and flip face-down cards one by one. This is the default mode on this site, and it supports both Draw 1 and Draw 3.
