Manage Stock Cycling

Level: Intermediate

Plan when to recycle the stock and which cards to leave behind.

Rather than flipping the stock blindly, it's better to first handle every possible tableau move, then cycle the stock when you need to find a specific card.

When a useful card comes up in the waste, don't use it right away — check whether it really fits the current tableau situation. Using it hastily throws off your cycle position.

Especially under rules that limit the number of passes (like Vegas), you must plan in advance which cards to secure on each pass.
